My Story
Being from New York Shinique is no stranger to the desire and reward of having your own home. As a current North Carolina resident Shinique has been supporting others in their pursuit of homeownership, with over 20 years of experience in the mortgage industry. Shinique is a Senior Mortgage Underwriter with an active Federal Housing Administration (FHA) CHUMS ID, Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) SAR / LAPP lending authority and holds extensive knowledge of Freddie Mac and Fannie Mae conventional loan products.
Shinique went into mortgage lending after studying Business Administration & Marketing at Berkeley College. The “Trust Your Underwriter” course began after leading an open panel on mortgage lending. There, Shinique realized how brokers and their clients would benefit from a deeper understanding of mortgage underwriting. Shinique’s desire to share her knowledge and truly help more people become homeowners is the leading force behind this phase in her career.

My Approach
As a Professional Mortgage Underwriter, I am meticulously committed to details and process. I am aware of all new regulations and requirements for Mortgage Loans according to the various lenders. I apply that same level of detail to my classes. We will take a varied & intricate process and break it down into digestible bites. While delivering actionable steps that Real Estate Brokers can apply during the home buying process with their clients.
